Sales Executive – Heavy Machinery

About the role

The Sales Executive will drive growth for trucks, heavy‑duty equipment and machinery in the Accra and Tema region. Reporting to the Sales Director, the role focuses on acquiring new customers, nurturing existing relationships and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell trucks, heavy equipment, machinery, spare parts and related services.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends and competitor activity.
• Generate, qualify and manage a robust sales pipeline.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, quotations and proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms within company guidelines.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Provide technical guidance and product recommendations based on operational requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and support debt recovery processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of sales experience in heavy equipment, trucks or related sectors.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong customer‑focused attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel within the Accra and Tema region for client visits and events.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of trucks, heavy machinery specifications and applications.
• Ability to present technical information clearly to customers.
