Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our retail, fashion and FMCG sales operations across Accra and the Tema region. The role will drive sales strategy, manage distributor relationships and develop a high‑performing sales team to achieve revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business goals and market opportunities.
• Lead route‑to‑market planning, distribution efficiency and trade activation initiatives.
• Monitor competitor activity and identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports and pipeline reviews for senior leadership.
• Directly manage, coach and motivate the sales team, set SMART objectives and conduct performance reviews.
• Design and deliver training programmes to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Manage key and super‑key distributor relationships, negotiate contracts and pricing.
• Handle customer issues to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations and logistics to ensure seamless order fulfillment and provide market feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of progressive sales experience, preferably in retail, fashion or FMCG.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a sales team to meet targets.
• Strong track record in distributor and key‑account management.
• Excellent analytical skills for forecasting and reporting.
• Senior‑level professional with a results‑driven mindset.
