Sales Manager

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead Scania Group’s sales department in Ghana, overseeing overall sales activity, planning, analysis and business development. The role includes coaching the sales team, setting targets and delivering value to customers across Accra and Tema.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, set and execute sales strategies, business and market plans in collaboration with other functions.
• Monitor and analyse market and competitor activity, trends and demands, and act accordingly.
• Create a structured sales team environment, steer and coach individual salespersons toward targets.
• Lead, motivate and manage the sales department to improve performance and ensure a proactive sales process.
• Identify and share ideas for new ways of working and business expansion with existing and new customers.

Required profile

• Effective sales, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to build and manage key relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
• Strong business development mindset and initiative under pressure.
• Excellent time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.
• People‑management experience and ability to work as part of a team.
• General computer skills (intermediate Microsoft Office).
• Driver’s licence; heavy‑vehicle licence is an advantage.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of local Ghanaian language(s) is a plus.
