Secondary Science Teacher

About the role

The Secondary Science Teacher will deliver and assess engaging science lessons aligned with the Pearson Edexcel iLower Secondary curriculum, ensuring clear learning objectives and strong academic progress. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Accra, requiring daily presence on campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons and practical activities in chemistry, biology and physics, integrating hands‑on experiments and inquiry‑based learning.
• Monitor student performance, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to reports and communicate with parents regarding student progress.
• Support classroom management and safeguard student wellbeing.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross‑curricular projects.
• Participate in school events, meetings and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher with relevant certification or licensure and strong expertise in science education.
• Subject‑matter knowledge in chemistry, biology and physics for lower secondary learners.
• Clear, professional communication skills for instruction, feedback and collaboration with families and colleagues.
• Experience with international curricula such as Pearson Edexcel and competence in planning, assessment and differentiated instruction.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a science‑related field, with a record of ongoing professional development.
• Classroom management skills, a student‑centered mindset and commitment to holistic development aligned with the school’s values.
• Ability to integrate educational technology and support inclusive practices.
