Security Officer – Full‑time (Accra & Tema)

About the role

As a professionally trained Security Officer for G4S, you will be the frontline defence protecting client premises, assets and personnel. You will maintain a safe environment through proactive patrols, access control and calm emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of interior, perimeter, parking and vulnerable areas to detect unauthorized presence and safety hazards.
• Manage access points by verifying IDs, issuing visitor badges and maintaining accurate visitor logs while providing courteous customer service.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect security infrastructure such as doors, locks and fire escapes to ensure functionality.
• Act as first responder to emergencies (fire alarms, medical incidents, security breaches) and complete detailed incident reports and daily logs.

Required profile

• Senior High School Certificate and valid Ghana Card.
• Ability to stand, walk and climb for an entire shift and pass G4S physical fitness training.
• Clear background and reference checks.

Required skills

• Effective verbal communication and report writing.
• Emotional control and ability to de‑escalate conflicts under pressure.
