About the role

The University is looking for a dynamic, self‑motivated Senior Accounting Assistant to join its finance team in Koforidua. The successful candidate will apply sound judgment, a high sense of responsibility, initiative and discretion in handling core accounting functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare statements of accounts in accordance with university policies.
  • Compile and reconcile bank statements on a regular basis.
  • Check and verify current accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Handle relevant correspondence related to financial matters.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or HND in Accountancy.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience as an Accounting Assistant in a university or comparable institution, or two (2) years with a professional qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA, etc.).
  • Completion of national service.
