Senior Internal Audit Assistant

About the role

The Ghana National Association of Teachers is seeking a motivated Senior Internal Audit Assistant to join its finance team in Accra. The role supports the internal audit function, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies while contributing to the association’s financial integrity. The successful candidate will work closely with senior auditors to plan, execute, and report on internal audit activities, helping to identify risks and recommend improvements.

Key responsibilities

Required profile

• Professional teacher at the rank of Assistant Director 1 with at least four (4) years of experience, or Senior Auditing Assistant with at least three (3) years of experience.
• First‑degree holder from a recognized university in a relevant discipline.
• Age between 25 and 35 years at the time of appointment.
• In‑depth knowledge of accounting and auditing practice.
• Detail‑oriented with strong communication abilities.
• Commitment to ethics, confidentiality, professional standards and integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Ability to use analytical tools for data analysis.
