About the role
The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) is seeking a Senior Internal Audit Assistant to support its internal audit function. The role is aimed at qualified teachers with strong accounting and auditing knowledge who can contribute to maintaining high standards of governance and financial integrity.
Key responsibilities
Required profile
- Professional teacher not below the rank of Assistant Director 1, with at least 4 years of experience at that rank.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Senior Auditing Assistant.
- First degree from a recognized university in a relevant subject area.
- Age between 25 and 35 years at the time of appointment.
- In‑depth knowledge of accounting and auditing practice.
- Commitment to ethics, confidentiality, professional standards and integrity.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to use analytical tools for audit work.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Strong knowledge of auditing procedures.
