Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in Leadership or Governance

About the role

NiBS University seeks a distinguished scholar to join its faculty as a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Leadership and Governance. The role involves teaching, research, mentorship, and academic leadership to advance business education in Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and update courses in leadership, corporate governance, public management, and strategic decision‑making for undergraduate, graduate, and executive programmes.
• Maintain an active, high‑impact research agenda with regular publications in internationally recognised peer‑reviewed journals.
• Supervise undergraduate capstones, Master’s theses, and Ph.D. dissertations.
• Lead curriculum development initiatives, chair departmental committees, and mentor junior faculty members.
• Build partnerships with public, private, and non‑profit sectors, contributing to executive training workshops, consultancy projects, and policy forums.

Required profile

• Earned Ph.D. in Leadership, Governance, Public Administration, Management or a closely related field.
• For Senior Lecturer: 4–6 years post‑Ph.D. teaching and research experience with a solid peer‑reviewed publication record.
• For Associate Professor: Substantial senior‑level academic experience, distinguished international publication record, success in securing research grants and proven academic leadership.
• Demonstrated excellence in innovative pedagogy, including hybrid and online learning environments.
