Senior Lecturer – Computing & Information Systems

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a qualified Senior Lecturer to join its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The position is open to candidates wishing to contribute to teaching, research, and community service in one of the faculty’s departments, such as Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or General Studies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the chosen department.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in recognized journals.
• Participate in faculty development, curriculum design, and academic committees.
• Engage in community service and outreach aligned with university goals.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum four years of experience as a Lecturer at a recognized university.
• At least six publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Previous appointment as Senior Lecturer at a comparable institution, or eligibility for promotion through GCTU’s process.
• Three professional referees with contact details.
