About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) invites applications for a Senior Lecturer position within its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The role involves contributing to teaching, research, and community service in one of the designated departments, such as Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or General Studies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the chosen department.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in recognized journals.
• Participate in curriculum development and academic programme review.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, ICT).
• Minimum four years of experience as a Lecturer at a recognized university.
• At least six publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Evidence of prior appointment as Senior Lecturer or eligibility for promotion through GCTU’s process.
• Three professional referees who can attest to academic and research competence.
