About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) invites applications for a Senior Lecturer position within its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The role is open to candidates who wish to join one of the following departments: Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or General Studies such as Sociology, Political Science, and African Studies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and tutorials in the appointed department.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in recognized academic journals.
• Participate in community service and outreach activities.
• Contribute to faculty development, curriculum design, and academic governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum four years of experience as a Lecturer at a recognized university.
• At least six publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Current appointment as Senior Lecturer at a comparable institution, or eligibility for promotion following GCTU’s promotion process.
• Three professional referees with contact details.
