Senior Project Officer – West Africa

About the role

Palladium is seeking a Senior Project Officer to lead and manage projects within its West Africa portfolio. Based in Accra, the officer will support the region’s objectives by delivering high‑quality technical and commercial inputs across multiple initiatives focused on forests and sustainable land use.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project pipelines, conducting opportunity analysis and assessment.
• Prepare business cases, design project concepts, and oversee implementation.
• Monitor project performance and ensure alignment with programme goals.
• Collaborate with the Regional Manager and other project teams across West Africa.
• Provide technical and commercial expertise to private‑sector, public‑sector, and community partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project development and management, preferably in environmental or land‑use sectors.
• Ability to deliver technical and commercial analysis, including opportunity assessment and business case development.
• Strong understanding of project design, implementation oversight, and performance monitoring.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, reporting to the Regional Manager.
• Willingness to work from the Accra office at least three days per week with flexible arrangements.
