Site Intern (NSP) – Chemical Manufacturing

About the role

The client, a leading global specialised chemical manufacturer, is looking for Site Interns (NSPs) to support site operations. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will provide both administrative and technical assistance, helping with equipment setup, cleaning, and monitoring chemical usage.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct basic installation, calibration and maintenance of dosing equipment.
• Monitor chemical consumption, check product concentrations and ensure dosing rates stay within recommended limits.
• Report technical issues to operators, line managers or the Site Coordinator.
• Maintain stock control, alert for re‑ordering and ensure chemicals are available at points of use.
• Record technical incidents, fill consumption trackers and assist in basic troubleshooting.
• Provide basic training to operators and maintain communication with site personnel.

Required profile

• Minimum BSc in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in a start‑up or pilot production environment is a plus.
• Good motor skills for fine assembly and ability to identify defects and colour differences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and work under supervision in a high‑pressure environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer programs, including MS Office.
• Experience using database systems.
• Basic knowledge of equipment installation, calibration and maintenance.
