About the role

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Specialist, Scheduling to support the development and delivery of integrated mine schedules at the Obuasi Gold Mine. The role ensures that operational activities align with short‑ and medium‑term planning objectives and that schedules reflect real‑world constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short‑term and rolling three‑month schedules for assigned block groups, ensuring logical sequencing and compliance with operational constraints.
• Spend at least 30 % of time underground to validate scheduling assumptions, confirm activity sequencing, and incorporate field conditions.
• Allocate a minimum of 30 % of time to support site safety compliance and promote a zero‑harm culture.
• Incorporate cross‑functional inputs, regularly validate activity durations, and maintain schedule integrity.
• Mentor and provide on‑the‑job training to junior scheduling engineers.
• Support continuous improvement of scheduling standards, planning integration, and performance tracking.
• Maintain and use scheduling tools and reporting systems to ensure reliability and transparency.
