Specialist – Scheduling (Mine Planning)

About the role

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Senior Specialist in Scheduling to support the development and delivery of integrated mine schedules for the Obuasi Gold Mine. The role bridges short‑term and medium‑term planning, ensuring that operational activities are accurately reflected in schedule logic, constraints, and designs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated mine schedules that align with operational and planning objectives.
• Spend at least 30% of time underground validating scheduling assumptions and activity sequencing.
• Incorporate cross‑functional inputs and ensure schedule quality across all planning horizons.
• Mentor junior scheduling engineers, providing feedback and on‑the‑job training.
• Support safety compliance by allocating a minimum of 30% of time to site safety activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of scheduling standards and performance tracking.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in mine scheduling or related planning functions.
• Demonstrated ability to work in underground environments and interact with operational teams.
• Strong commitment to safety and AngloGold Ashanti’s values.
• Proven mentorship experience for junior engineers.
