Sterile Processing Trainee & Infection Prevention Products Representative

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Accra blends sterile processing training with infection‑prevention product representation. You will support operating‑room teams by ensuring instruments are safely cleaned, sterilized and ready for use, while also educating staff on evidence‑based infection‑control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing and preparing medical instruments according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and instrument inventories.
• Provide education and product demonstrations on infection‑prevention supplies to clinical teams.
• Support implementation of infection‑control solutions and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare staff and participate in training sessions.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes.
• Exposure to infection‑control principles and regulatory standards.
• Familiarity with operating‑room workflows or willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills for staff education and teamwork.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks safely.
• Completion of secondary education; technical or vocational training in healthcare is preferred.
