Stores Officer – Inventory Management

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Stores Officer to manage inventory for our restaurant operations in Accra. The role ensures accurate receipt, storage and issue of stock while supporting procurement, finance and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming stock against purchase orders, invoices and delivery documents.
• Record all receipts, issues, returns, transfers, damages, expiries and adjustments promptly.
• Issue items only against approved requisitions and maintain supporting documentation.
• Organise stock by category, maintain bin cards, inventory logs and system records.
• Apply FIFO and FEFO principles for perishable items.
• Monitor stock levels, reorder points, slow‑moving items, shortages and variances, reporting exceptions immediately.
• Conduct routine stock counts and participate in monthly inventory reconciliations and audits.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Operations and receiving teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, safe storage with restricted access and proper handling of fragile, perishable and high‑value items.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports as required.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or relevant training in Stores Management, Inventory Control, Logistics, Warehousing or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in stores, inventory, warehousing, hospitality or food‑service stock control.
• Strong numerical ability and practical knowledge of stock‑counting, documentation and reconciliation procedures.
• High integrity, attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to stand, move and safely handle stock items during the workday.
