Supply Chain Lead – Ghana

About the role

The Supply Chain Lead will oversee end‑to‑end supply chain operations for UPL in Ghana, ensuring efficient procurement, production and distribution of agricultural solutions. Based in Accra, the role is pivotal to maintaining inventory balance, controlling costs and supporting the company’s sustainability mission.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement, production planning and distribution activities across Accra and Tema.
• Monitor inventory levels, optimise turnover and minimise holding costs.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms.
• Develop and implement process‑improvement strategies to increase supply chain efficiency.
• Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Optimise transportation routes and modes to reduce costs and delivery times.
• Forecast demand and plan inventory to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain plans with business objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, transactions and supplier contracts.
• Resolve supply chain disruptions promptly and supervise supply chain staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field relevant to supply chain, logistics or related area).
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and make decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
