Swimming Pool Construction Technician

About the role

City Pools is seeking a full‑time, on‑site swimming pool construction technician based in Kumasi. You will support the entire construction cycle, from site preparation and excavation to structural work, plumbing, tiling and decking. The role involves close collaboration with supervisors, architects and other trades while maintaining a clean work environment and communicating progress to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with site preparation, excavation, structural work, plumbing installation, tiling and decking.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, specifications and safety procedures.
• Operate construction tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support inspections to verify quality, safety compliance and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors, architects and other trades to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain a tidy work area, report daily progress and respond professionally to client or site queries.

Required profile

• Proven construction experience, especially in pool building, basic masonry and site preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, drawings and specifications.
• Awareness of budgeting and material planning to support efficient resource use.
• Inspection skills to verify workmanship and safety compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, safety‑conscious mindset and ability to follow established procedures.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, with capacity to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks.
