Tax Analyst (Part‑time Remote)

About the role

CONNECT FAT is seeking a part‑time, remote Tax Analyst to support its tax planning, compliance and reporting activities. You will work closely with finance and advisory teams to ensure accurate tax filings and to develop strategies that align with regulatory requirements and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file Corporate Tax, VAT, PAYE and Withholding Tax returns.
• Provide SME tax filing and compliance support.
• Develop tax planning and optimization strategies.
• Conduct tax risk assessments and regulatory compliance reviews.
• Design automated tax reporting systems and dashboards.
• Prepare deliverables such as Tax Liability Statements, VAT Reconciliation Reports, Tax Planning Memos, Audit Readiness Files, Deferred Tax Calculations and Directors’ Emolument Analyses.
• Research tax regulations, monitor legislative changes and identify opportunities for tax optimisation.
• Maintain organized tax records and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Professional certification preferred (ACCA, ICA, CPA).
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance frameworks and SME/corporate tax advisory.
• Experience in tax advisory and risk assessment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with tax/accounting software.
