Teacher – Primary/Lower‑Secondary (Ghana)

About the role

Rising Academies is seeking passionate teachers to join its network of low‑fee private schools in Ghana. You will work on‑site, collaborating with school leaders and improvement teams to deliver data‑informed, engaging lessons that drive measurable learning gains.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well‑structured, standards‑aligned lessons that incorporate real‑life connections.
• Analyze termly assessment data to identify gaps, adjust instruction, and track progress using teacher analysis sheets.
• Implement Positive Behaviors for Learning (PB4L) routines daily and manage discipline with child‑safeguarding in mind.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and progress records in the School Vitals/Bambai dashboards.
• Provide timely, detailed feedback on assignments and homework each week.
• Participate in training sessions and weekly Communities of Practice, integrating observation feedback.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress and challenges.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in primary or lower‑secondary settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education preferred; degree in any discipline accepted if strong passion for teaching is demonstrated.
• Well‑organized, creative, with strong moral values and knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and CPR.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the School Vitals/Bambai dashboard for tracking student data.
• Experience or willingness to apply data‑driven instructional models.
