Team Lead, Apprenticeship Training

About the role

Newmont is seeking a Team Lead to oversee apprenticeship training at its Ahafo operations in Ghana. The role focuses on delivering skill‑based technical training, coaching apprentices, and ensuring compliance with apprenticeship standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team that provides technical skill training to apprentices.
• Coach and guide apprentices throughout their development.
• Create and maintain apprenticeship‑specific training materials.
• Administer assessments, track progress, and provide feedback.
• Schedule training sessions, record outcomes, and compile effectiveness reports.
• Liaise with apprentice trainers to continuously improve the program.
• Verify compliance with apprenticeship training standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Workplace Trainer and Assessor certification.
• Mincom certification – Inspecting or Sectional Engineering.

Required skills

• Mechanical Engineering knowledge.
• Workplace Trainer and Assessor competency.
• Mincom Inspecting or Sectional Engineering expertise.
