Trade Adviser

About the role

The UK‑Ghana Chamber of Commerce is looking for a proactive Trade Adviser to expand its trade advisory services and support businesses operating between the United Kingdom and Ghana. The role will combine market research, client advisory, stakeholder engagement and programme delivery to help members access commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyse trade, investment, regulatory and sector trends to produce actionable insights for members and advocacy work.
• Provide practical advice to UK and Ghanaian companies on market entry, expansion, compliance and trade facilitation.
• Identify and nurture leads to grow the Chamber’s membership, advisory pipeline and commercial projects.
• Coordinate trade missions, B2B matchmaking, investment promotion events, sector meetings and capacity‑building programmes.
• Maintain relationships with member firms, government agencies, trade bodies, development partners and prospective clients.
• Contribute to the annual Business Environment & Competitiveness Survey, policy briefs, advocacy reports and position papers.
• Represent the Chamber at industry, policy and business forums and support the design of new advisory services.

Required profile

• Commercially minded with a strong interest in UK‑Ghana trade.
• Excellent research, analytical and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work collaboratively across teams.
• Experience in client advisory, stakeholder engagement or trade promotion is desirable.
