Trade in Services Officer – AfCFTA (Accra)

About the role

The Trade in Services Officer will support the implementation of the AfCFTA Protocol on Trade in Services. Working under the Head of Trade In Services Division, the role involves technical coordination of services trade negotiations, stakeholder engagement and capacity‑building programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for activities under the AfCFTA Protocol on Trade in Services.
• Coordinate and contribute to services trade negotiations and monitor implementation of commitments.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating progress against the Division’s strategic plan and work programmes.
• Support business continuity planning and risk mitigation measures.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with State Parties, RECs, development partners and private‑sector organisations.
• Conduct research, policy analysis and track developments in trade in services.
• Prepare technical guidance notes, training materials, reports and other knowledge products.
• Draft reports, assist in budgeting and work‑programme preparation, and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop training materials and deliver workshops on trade in services issues.
• Assist in creating analytical tools to evaluate implementation of commitments and support Sub‑Committee activities.
