Vice Rector, Midwifery and Paediatrics

About the role

The Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives is seeking a Vice Rector to support the Rector in leading the Midwifery and Paediatrics Division. This senior executive will ensure effective academic and administrative operations, uphold professional standards, and drive the division’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Rector in overall leadership and day‑to‑day management of the division.
• Develop, implement and monitor academic and administrative policies.
• Supervise and coordinate operational activities across the division.
• Provide exemplary leadership to achieve division objectives and maintain academic standards.
• Guide academic, research and operational policy direction.
• Promote staff capability development and professional growth.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by the Rector.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Midwifery, Paediatric Nursing or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification as a midwife, paediatric nurse or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant public‑service experience, including at least 7 years in senior management.
• Fellow of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives (GCNM).
• Proficiency with standard computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
