Water Engineer

About the role

SLR Consulting is seeking an experienced Water Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in Ghana. You will work on innovative and sustainable solutions for wastewater and sewage conveyance, hydraulic system design, and public‑private water infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions for waste and sewage networks, including Newtonian and non‑Newtonian fluid handling.
• Produce design calculations, specifications, bills of quantities, datasheets, drawings and technical reports.
• Support continuous improvement of procedures and contribute to digital engineering initiatives.
• Engage regularly with clients and stakeholders to maintain collaborative relationships.
• Work across disciplines to ensure efficient project delivery and documentation control.
• Assist with project management tasks and mentor less‑experienced staff.

Required profile

• Civil or Mechanical Engineering background.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior project‑management role.
• Professional registration with the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) or an equivalent body.
• Demonstrated experience working in Africa.
• Field experience including site surveys and investigations.
