West Africa Sales Engineer

About the role

Weir ESCO is seeking a West Africa Sales Engineer to drive revenue growth and provide on‑site technical support for our mining technology solutions across the region. You will work closely with dealers, customers, and internal product support teams to ensure successful product deployment and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Dealer Revenue Management – own dealer accounts, meet monthly revenue targets, budget, forecast and develop business in West Africa.
• On‑Site Technical Support – collaborate with the Africa Product Support team to manage trials, bucket commissioning and deliver technical sales presentations.
• Sales Reporting and Forecasting – maintain accurate dealer activity reports and revenue projections using Salesforce.
• Travel – regularly travel within West Africa to support dealer operations, conduct technical visits and engage with stakeholders.
• Safety – uphold zero‑harm safety behaviours and contribute to a world‑class safety culture.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in Engineering or trade‑tested Artisan.
• Proven face‑to‑face technical sales and support experience in the mining industry.
• Autonomous, customer‑centric approach with a strong record of achieving revenue targets for complex products.
• Ability to manage dealer relationships, including forecasting, budgeting and business development.
• Nice‑to‑have: post‑graduate commercial qualification, experience in West Africa mining markets, familiarity with HME machines, and strong presentation skills.
