Window Treatments and Motorized Technician

About the role

The Window Treatments and Motorized Technician will join KIMO HOME’s on‑site team in Ghana, delivering high‑quality installation, configuration and maintenance of blinds, shades, curtains and motorised window systems for residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Take precise site measurements and develop installation plans for various window treatments.
• Install, mount and adjust blinds, shades, curtains and motorised systems ensuring perfect alignment and smooth operation.
• Install, troubleshoot and program Somfy motors and other motorised mechanisms, configure remotes and wall switches, and perform thorough testing before handover.
• Conduct routine checks, minor repairs and daily troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance.
• Collaborate with designers and sales staff to interpret client requirements, advise on product options and demonstrate proper use and care.
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace, follow safety procedures and complete all required documentation for installations and service calls.

Required profile

• 3–5 years experience installing blinds, shades or curtains.
• Proven experience with Somfy motorisation and low‑voltage wiring.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Commitment to zero call‑backs – getting the job right the first time.

Required skills

• Installation and servicing of window treatments (blinds, shades, curtains).
• Somfy motor installation, configuration and programming.
• Low‑voltage electrical wiring knowledge.
• Reading measurements, technical drawings and installation guides.
• Safe use of hand and power tools.
