Accounts Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Officer to manage daily sales, cash collections, inventory and financial reconciliations across our operations in Ghana and Togo. The role supports finance functions, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily sales, cash collections, cash handovers across operating locations.
• Manage and verify inventory transfers and supporting documentation across all operating locations.
• Conduct and reconcile month‑end physical stock counts with system and accounting records.
• Verify bank deposits and prepare regular bank reconciliations, following up on unreconciled transactions.
• Prepare VAT returns, reconcile input/output VAT, and ensure timely completion of statutory payments and compliance requirements.
• Maintain supplier bill‑wise statements, support supplier/customer reconciliations, and monitor outstanding payables and receivables.
• Prepare purchasing documentation, inventory costing, landed costs and the accounting treatment of purchases and stock movements.
• Support monthly payroll processing, including verification of attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions, advances and payroll accounting entries.
• Prepare inter‑location, inventory, cash, bank, supplier, payroll and other reconciliations required for month‑end closing and reporting.
• Maintain complete documentary evidence and audit‑ready records while strengthening internal controls, accountability and process efficiency.

Required profile

• B.Com or M.Com graduate.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar accounts role.
• Willingness to work in Ghana for the first 3‑6 months and then relocate permanently to Lome, Togo.
