Advocacy Research Intern – 26‑week placement in Accra

About the role
The internship supports UNICEF Ghana’s advocacy work by conducting research, generating evidence, and analysing policy and development trends. You will help shape evidence‑based advocacy strategies on child rights, education, health, climate change, plastic pollution and water systems.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct desk reviews and literature reviews on priority advocacy topics.
- Analyse policy documents and development trends to inform advocacy strategies.
- Support stakeholder mapping and knowledge‑management activities.
- Prepare evidence‑based advocacy products such as briefs, presentations and reports.
Required profile
- Strong interest in child rights, advocacy and research.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
