Advocacy Research Internship – Accra, Ghana

About the role
This 26‑week internship supports UNICEF Ghana’s advocacy work by providing research and evidence‑generation on key child‑rights issues. The intern will work within the Advocacy and Communication section, contributing to policy analysis and the development of advocacy products.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research and generate evidence on priority areas such as child rights, education, health, climate change, plastic pollution and water systems.
- Analyse policy and development trends to inform advocacy strategies.
- Support stakeholder mapping and knowledge‑management activities.
- Prepare evidence‑based advocacy materials, including briefs and presentations.
Required profile
- Strong interest in child rights, education, health, climate change, environmental issues and water systems.
- Ability to analyse policy documents and synthesize findings.
- Good written communication skills for producing briefs and presentations.
