Anatomical Pathology Technician / Mortuary Assistant / Janitor

About the role
The University is hiring staff to support its anatomical pathology laboratory and mortuary facilities. The role combines technical assistance in specimen handling, mortuary support, and general cleaning duties to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for students, staff and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, label and store anatomical specimens for teaching and research.
- Assist mortuary staff with the receipt, identification and preservation of bodies.
- Perform routine cleaning, disinfection and waste disposal in laboratory and mortuary areas.
- Maintain inventory of consumables, equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and infection‑control protocols.
Required profile
- Minimum Senior High School or Technical School Certificate; Diploma or HND preferred.
- At least 25 years of age.
- Prior experience in a mortuary or similar facility is an advantage.
