Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth across assigned territories in Ghana, such as Greater Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi. You will lead distributor relationships, manage a field sales team and ensure strong market presence for our FMCG portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales targets by developing and executing monthly, quarterly and annual plans.
• Manage and grow local distributors and wholesalers, expanding both traditional and modern trade channels.
• Lead, coach and set performance targets for Sales Representatives and Distributor Sales Representatives.
• Optimize route‑to‑market strategies to improve numeric and weighted distribution.
• Ensure in‑store merchandising, execute trade promotions and gather market intelligence.
• Analyze sell‑in/sell‑out data, monitor inventory and provide forecasts with actionable improvement plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related field.
• 5–8 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG, with at least 2 years of team‑management experience.
• Strong understanding of Ghana’s distributor‑driven sales model and traditional trade channels.
• Experience in multinational companies is a plus.
