Assistant Account & Finance Manager

About the role

The Assistant Account & Finance Manager will support the Finance and Account Manager in delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis for a company serving over 215,000 clients across six regions. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely month‑end close, statutory compliance, and effective performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports, cash‑flow forecasts and related analyses.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance‑sheet items, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register and ensure accurate asset accounting.
• Support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and the annual budget.
• Prepare tax computations and ensure filing of returns.
• Develop, coordinate and report key financial performance indicators to senior finance leadership.
• Apply IFRS standards in all accounting activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Qualified accountant (ACCA or ICAG).
• Minimum five years of post‑qualification accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, month‑end closing and statutory reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of IFRS.
