Assistant Civil Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Assistant Civil Reliability Engineer supports the identification, assessment and management of civil and structural risks affecting the natural gas pipeline network and stations across Ghana. Working under the Civil Reliability Engineer, the role focuses on inspections, maintenance, rehabilitation and monitoring of pipeline right‑of‑way (ROW) and related civil infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring ROW conditions to prevent erosion, encroachment and environmental degradation.
• Support rehabilitation activities, including erosion control, slope stabilization and drainage improvement.
• Help maintain culverts, channels, storm‑water systems, concrete foundations, access roads and equipment support structures.
• Conduct inspections of structural installations, report defects such as cracks, settlement or subsidence, and aid corrective actions.
• Assist in monitoring soil conditions, ground movement and mitigation of washouts or unstable terrain.
• Maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records in line with company and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Entry‑level (junior) position reporting to the Civil Reliability Engineer.
• Willingness to work onsite in the Western and Ashanti regions of Ghana.
• Ability to follow safety standards, permit‑to‑work procedures and environmental protection initiatives.
