Assistant Front Office Manager

About the role

The Assistant Front Office Manager supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front‑office operations at a hotel in Accra. This role ensures smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, supervises front‑desk staff, bell and door personnel, and the switchboard, while maintaining high guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach front‑desk, bell, door, and switchboard teams to deliver consistent service standards.
• Manage day‑to‑day front‑office activities, including guest arrivals, departures, and reservations.
• Handle guest complaints, resolve disputes, and implement corrective actions based on feedback.
• Monitor performance against guest‑service goals and collaborate with the Front Office Manager on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure employee recognition, training, and open communication across all shifts.
• Maintain accurate financial records for the department and support budgeting efforts.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related area, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on honesty, integrity, and teamwork.
• Ability to lead, influence, and motivate staff while fostering a collaborative work environment.
