Assistant Preschool Teacher (Full-time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team at Elimwells School in Takoradi. In this full-time, on-site position you will work closely with the Lead Teacher to create a warm, inclusive environment for preschool-age children.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily classroom routines, including arrival, snack, and departure times.
• Assist in preparing and adapting learning materials for play-based and structured activities.
• Supervise children during indoor lessons, outdoor play, and meals, ensuring safety and positive behaviour.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organise learning spaces.
• Document children’s progress and communicate observations to the teaching team and families.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions and school events.

Required profile

• Background in Early Childhood Education or related training.
• Experience working with kindergarten or preschool-age children.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with children, families and colleagues.
• Basic classroom-management abilities and knowledge of child development and safety practices.
• Patience, teamwork orientation and genuine care for children’s well-being.
