Assistant – Time & Attendance

About the role

The Assistant – Time & Attendance will support the HR team by managing the biometric attendance system and ensuring accurate time‑keeping data for payroll processing. This onsite role is based at the factory site on the Tema‑Aflao Road and reports to the HR Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the biometric attendance system daily, reviewing timecards, punches and shift records for accuracy.
• Calculate working hours, overtime, late entries, early exits and absences, and provide attendance summaries to payroll.
• Identify and resolve attendance discrepancies, coordinating with employees and supervisors to correct missed punches or system errors.
• Track all types of leave, reconcile manual forms with system entries, and report absenteeism trends.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly attendance reports and maintain updated digital attendance files.
• Support onboarding by capturing new employee biometric data and issuing ID/access cards.

Required profile

• HND or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with biometric attendance or payroll systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Maximum age of 35 years.
• Ability to work onsite at the factory location.
