About the role

Provide leadership and oversight for branch operations, sales, and customer service. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, manage risk, and drive profitability while delivering a superior customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage branch operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Drive sales performance across deposits, loans, cards, and other retail products.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage operational, credit, and fraud risks within the branch.
• Monitor branch financial performance and implement strategies to achieve targets.
• Coach and develop branch staff to build a high‑performing team.
• Promote digital migration and self‑service channels.
• Maintain strong relationships with local businesses and community stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit accurate reports on branch performance and compliance.
• Lead cost optimisation: lean processes, cash‑in‑transit efficiencies, and facilities management.

Required profile

• Minimum Education – a good first degree in any discipline; relevant Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Formal Training – a recognized professional certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum Experience – 5–7+ years in retail banking with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
