Branch Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Branch Manager to lead our Accra and Tema branch for Vanguard Life Assurance. The role involves driving the company’s vision, mission and core values while achieving monthly and annual sales targets in the life insurance market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet branch production targets (cases and premiums).
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis for effective territory management.
• Promote the brand, drive business growth and create opportunities for the salesforce.
• Recruit, train and develop Sales Executives, supporting Sales Managers to meet budgets.
• Monitor performance, supervise staff and provide sales direction.
• Coordinate with branch units and head‑office departments to ensure overall performance.
• Hold regular team meetings, performance reviews and staff appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal controls and safeguard staff and property.
• Prepare timely and quality reports on branch activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar life‑insurance role or 5 years as a life‑insurance Sales Manager with a strong sales record.
• Diploma or Certificate in Insurance (preferred).
• Proven ability to lead and develop a large sales team with minimal supervision.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong people‑management and emotional‑intelligence capabilities.
