Business Development Manager – Pharma & Healthcare

About the role

CARE 9, a global leader in pharma supply chain services, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its on‑site team in Ghana. You will drive growth by identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and negotiating contracts within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to uncover new business prospects and assess competitive landscape.
• Develop and execute business strategies to expand CARE 9’s presence in Ghana.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, laboratories, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align market positioning and ensure client satisfaction.
• Track sales performance against targets and report progress to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven track record in business development, sales, or market analysis within the pharmaceutical or healthcare domain.
• Strong networking, relationship‑management, and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
• Ability to work independently, travel as needed, and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
