Civil Engineer

About the role

Sidan Associates & Partners is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join its team in Accra and active project sites across the Tema region. You will be responsible for ensuring construction work meets technical, quality, and safety standards while supporting project managers and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret approved drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Supervise and monitor construction activities, ensuring workmanship conforms to required standards.
• Conduct site inspections, technical measurements and verify incoming materials.
• Coordinate artisans, foremen, subcontractors and monitor labour deployment and productivity.
• Prepare daily, weekly and other progress reports, maintaining accurate site records.
• Identify construction defects, support corrective actions and ensure readiness for inspections.
• Support QA/QC procedures, safety compliance and PPE usage.
• Escalate technical risks, delays and challenges promptly.
• Assist in snagging, handover and defect rectification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of practical construction/site experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and quality‑control practices.
• Good technical reporting and documentation skills.
• Problem‑solving capability and safety‑conscious attitude.
