Civil Engineer – Transmission Line & Substation Relocation

About the role

The Civil Engineer – Transmission Line & Substation Relocation Project will manage and supervise all civil and structural engineering aspects of the transmission line and substation relocation effort.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve civil engineering designs and construction drawings.
• Supervise foundation construction for transmission towers and substation equipment.
• Oversee site grading, access roads, drainage systems, retaining structures, and building works.
• Ensure compliance with approved specifications and construction standards.
• Review geotechnical reports and recommend foundation solutions.
• Conduct site inspections, quality verification, and monitor contractor performance.

Required profile

• BSc in Civil Engineering.
• 8–10 years experience in power infrastructure projects, especially transmission line foundations and substation civil works.
• Experience with roads, drainage, and structural works in high‑voltage projects (161kV or above preferred).
• Knowledge of geotechnical investigations, structural analysis, and utility standards.
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with engineering/project management software.
