Cloud Delivery Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Delivery Engineer is responsible for implementing, operating, and continuously optimizing MTN's cloud platforms across public, private, and hybrid environments. You will ensure reliable service delivery, performance, availability, and security through effective provisioning, monitoring, automation, and incident management.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and configure cloud infrastructure components such as VMs, storage, networking, and containers.
• Deploy workloads across public, private, and hybrid clouds using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Monitor cloud environments to maintain availability, performance, and reliability, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and problem resolution while adhering to SLAs and OLAs.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to improve operational efficiency.
• Track resource utilization and execute scaling actions based on defined thresholds.
• Implement cloud security controls (IAM, network security, encryption) and support vulnerability remediation.
• Participate in audits, compliance checks, root‑cause analysis, and major incident response.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or DevOps.
• Hands‑on experience with major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V) is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, COBIT5, PRINCE2/PMP, or cloud vendor certifications are advantageous.
