Contracts Advisor – Supply Chain Management

About the role

Tullow is seeking a Contracts Advisor to join its Supply Chain Management team in Accra. The role provides functional ownership of Logistics‑Operations‑Maintenance (LOM) contracts for FPSOs, ensuring value creation, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative LOM contract strategies focused on efficiency and cost optimisation.
• Manage the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle: tender development, RFP, evaluation, negotiation, award, performance management and close‑out.
• Administer contracts and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with internal policies, joint‑venture agreements and Petroleum Commission requirements.
• Collaborate with the Local Content Manager to embed local‑content objectives throughout the contracting process.
• Provide regular management reports, apply risk and assurance principles and support digital transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in contract formulation, negotiation and procurement, preferably in an oil & gas environment.
• Professional membership or recent qualification with a supply chain body (e.g., CISCM, CIPS) is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with contract management and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of local‑content regulations and stakeholder engagement.
