Cook – Food Services & Catering

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join our kitchen team in the Accra & Tema region. The role involves preparing a variety of dishes, maintaining high food quality, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, measuring and seasoning.
• Cook dishes according to standardized recipes, ensuring correct temperature and attractive presentation.
• Set up workstations, operate kitchen equipment safely, and keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Follow food safety regulations, store food properly, and sanitize surfaces and utensils.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and stock rotation using FIFO.
• Collaborate with serving staff to meet customer specifications and dietary requirements.
• Support team members during busy periods and communicate any issues to management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Culinary Arts or Hospitality certificate/diploma is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant, hotel, cafeteria or catering setting.
• Food safety certification is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cooking methods and food preparation techniques.
• Good knife handling and food preparation skills.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
