Copywriter (Francophone)

About the role

We are looking for a talented Francophone Copywriter to create high‑impact, culturally relevant copy for French‑speaking markets. The role will translate briefs into compelling narratives that drive engagement across all channels while maintaining brand consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original copy in French and English for campaigns, digital, social, film, CRM and activations.
• Adapt and localise global creative to suit francophone audiences, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural nuance, with optional Wolof input.
• Collaborate with art directors, designers and account teams to co‑create integrated concepts and headlines.
• Present ideas to internal teams and clients, incorporate feedback while protecting creative integrity.
• Research client categories, audiences and competitors to inform messaging.
• Maintain quality control, ensuring error‑free copy aligned with brand guidelines.
• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and flag risks early.
• Stay up‑to‑date with trends in language, culture and digital storytelling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
• Strong professional writing ability across various formats.
• Proficiency in Wolof is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of digital and integrated communications.
