Customs Clearance Specialist

About the role

The Customs Clearance Specialist ensures smooth import and export processes by managing all required documentation and electronic submissions. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with Ghanaian customs regulations and supporting the logistics team.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy and consistency of all import/export documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping paperwork.
• Prepare and submit customs declarations through the official online system, ensuring data is standardised, compliant and error‑free.
• Organise, file and archive customs clearance records to maintain a complete and orderly documentation system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least one year of relevant experience.
• Experience in customs liaison, import/export clearance, and document declaration, preferably with familiarity of the Ghana ICUMS system.
• Strong attention to detail, high responsibility, and ability to work under pressure, including occasional overtime.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Ghana ICUMS customs declaration system.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
