Dental Hygienist – Full-time

About the role

The Dental Hygienist will deliver preventive and therapeutic dental care to patients at Koforidua Clinic. Responsibilities include performing cleanings, scaling, root planing and supporting periodontal treatment. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Koforidua, Eastern Region, Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct oral health assessments and review dental/medical histories.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Perform professional cleanings, scaling, polishing and root planing.
• Assist the dentist during procedures and support periodontal management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to infection‑control protocols.
• Contribute to a welcoming, professional patient experience.

Required profile

• Recognized dental hygiene qualification or equivalent certification, eligible to practice in Ghana.
• Strong foundation in dentistry with ability to support diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Experience performing dental prophylaxis (cleanings, scaling, polishing).
• Knowledge of periodontal disease management and treatment planning.
• Commitment to infection prevention, sterilisation standards and clinical protocols.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and a patient‑centred approach.
• Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting is an advantage.
